The Separator

The Fassa Separator is an easy to use, quick to fit, single-sided protection shield that protects your bicycle from unnecessary damage in transit or in storage. Its shape echoes a bicycle’s to provide the ultimate shield against damage. Whether you drive a small car or a large van, the Separator protects both your bike and the interior of your vehicle against everything from minor dings to major damage. The Silver version includes a built in ultra-violet light inhibitor which protects precious carbon by reflecting the sun’s rays.

To fit, simply slide one velcro strap through the seat post and one over the bar stem and secure with the Velcro. Your Separator is attached. Once fitted you can move your bike easily from garage to van or car.

Q: What is this product for?
A: The Separator is designed to protect your bicycle in transit and in storage. Prevents bike-to-bike damage. Designed for use when not riding.

Q: How does this work?
A: The Separator slides down one side of your bicycle and secures itself with a Velcro strap which runs through the seat post and a second over the bar stem. 8mm of closed cell foam padding provides a soft barrier to other bikes. The silver material is a robust, ripstop material, which if torn, stops the tear in its tracks. Any oil transferred from the bicycle can be wiped off with a soft cloth and a little washing up liquid.

Q: How do I use this product?
A: There are three types. The first, Seperator Simple, has no straps or velcro and is ideal when packing a your bike into a car, or when you are carrying a number of bikes in a very tight space. If your bikes travel standing up, such as in a van, the Premium version has two built in straps, one which straps over the bar stem and the other over or through the seat post. The Ultimate version has additional velcro fixing points to hold other kit in place. An extra strap pack is included. The Ultimate version also comes with an outer bag in which you can use for storing wheels, a bicycle frame and other kit.

Q: What is this product made of?
A: Light weight yet strong (180gsm) waterproof woven and coated 100% polyethylene textile outer. UV stabilised and totally resistant to mildew attack. Providing the padding is a performance grade, closed cell foam inner that does not retain moisture.

Q: Is this product waterproof?
A: This product is waterproof although the stitching line may let in water if completely submerged or left outside in the wettest of conditions. It will however dry right through with no threat of mildew or retained water.

A: The Separator slides alongside your bike and there are three types to choose from.

A: This product is made in our factory in Dorset, United Kingdom and we buy our materials from our trusted suppliers in the UK.

Q: Does this product fit on my bike? Or; does this product fit on all bikes?
A: Fassa’s products are designed to be universal and designed to fit on mountain- and road bikes, unless otherwise indicated. Of course unusual sizes, such as tandems aren’t included.

A: The Velcro straps are adjustable via the Velcro system

A: This product is not currently available with personalisation

Q: How do I clean this product?
A: When dry, use a nail brush or hand brush to remove dust, mud and marks. For more stubborn marks use a small amount of warm, soapy water to remove stains and then leave to air dry. This product is not designed for use in washing machines or tumble dryers.

Q: Is there a guarantee on this product?
A: This product comes with a 30 day return policy.

Q: How do I maintain this product?
A: This product does not require any maintenance when not in use. Ideally, leave in a dry, cool place when not in use.
